A Preview....

Just thought I would give a sneak peek of what's to come at the end of next week. :) This is Kaelyn's halloween dress. It's kind of a medieval type princess dress. I really love the color scheme and she really likes it because she helped to pick out ALL the fabrics. I still have some to do on it. The other sleeve needs to be finished and the hem isn't done yet - but I have a week and a half still, right?

Cooper tried on his costume on today all together. He LOVES this outfit and would probably wear it 24/7 if I let him. :) You have to see the whole thing to get the full affect, but I'll save those pictures until next week!

Pumpkin Patch

Tonight we made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. Thankfully, this year it wasn't raining! We had lots of fun seeing the animals, playing on the hay bail horses and, of course, picking out our pumpkins!
What is is with kids having to make the cheeziest faces EVER?

Happy Columbus Day!

One of the fun things about homeschooling is celebrating all these RANDOM holidays! So, Happy Columbus Day everyone!

Boy or Girl?

So - following in my sister in law's blog poll, I thought I would create one of my own. Any guesses as to the gender of this next baby? My ultrasound is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27th at 2:30pm. The poll (located on the right side of this blog) will run until that morning. Happy guessing!

I couldn't have said it ANY better

I read this article today on The Pioneer Woman's homeschooling blog. The best homeschool blog post ever.

I love homeschooling. I love the freedom, the flexibility, the knowledge that *I* am teaching my child. I love how I can see what Kaelyn is learning. I love the relationship that Kaelyn is building not only with me, but especially with Cooper. I love the homeschool community and the relationships we ALL are finding.

But, man oh man, is the month of October hard! Reality stinks.
