New Additions

We are now the proud owners of two new goldfish, much to the children's delight. My mom acquired two goldfish from a co-worker and after buying a little tank, the rocks, food, etc.... our two free goldfish only cost her $30. :) So, we prepped the kids (well, Kaelyn) that they might not live long and that goldfish are not known for their long and prosperous lives. Good thing we talked about it, because within 18 hours one of them was definately dead. Jeff and I are very thankful that goldfish only cost 13 cents because we had to run out that night and buy a new one. We are happy to report that our two goldfish "Nemo" and "Lena" are still living happy lives almost a week later. :)

Cute little photo. I didn't realize they were quite that cheap. Maybe we could buy them and keep them in the fridge, just in case! Hmm…guess that might not work!

Cool Amy! A tip to help keep them alive. We keep a cleaned out gallon milk carton with water in it. The fish tend to die if you use water straight out of the tap. So put water in the gallon jug at least a few days before you want to change the water. We normally just fill the water jug back up after changing the tank and leave it for next time. We have had our latest goldfish for over a year!! He is a big fattie! lol
